Heartworm season is here and we need to check your dog for heartworms. Heartworm has been on the increase again and once your dog has been infected it is very serious. If diagnosis is made before clinical signs appear, treatment is very safe and effective for your dog.
Heartworm testing also includes testing for exposure to Lymes Disease, Anaplasmosis, and Ehrlichia Canis, which are all tick born diseases.
Summer is a very active time for
our pets just as it is for us. If you received a reminder, make
an appointment with Dr. Voigt to keep your pet or pets healthy.
We at Crow River Vet will keep your pet healthy and happy, but
will not involve you with any unnecessary vaccinations or procedures
that are not needed in the local area. Pets have different requirements
for vaccinations depending on what they do and where they travel
to. We will assure you these requirements are met, including requirements for geriatric patients. Click
here for more info on heartworm disease and other important topics.
